Samuel Wearp: Israel, The Timepiece of God, part 3

Among the peculiar promises of God about the restoration of Israel is this one:

Strangers will stand and shepherd your flocks,
children of foreigners will be your plowmen and vinedressers.

Isaiah 61:5

Samuel Wearp is one of those strangers who will tend the flocks of Israel! He and his new bride, Keila, are even now in Israel leading a team of sheep shearers in a project to assist the Jewish pioneers in Judea with their flocks. This is the first of what promises to be many projects of Samuel & Keila’s new ministry, Rising Sparks!

The Bible says a lot about sheep, both figuratively and literally. As Barry Phillips and David Jones explain, there is practical and spiritual aspects of the ancient commandment to restore the lost sheep of our neighbors that apply to us today! It’s a matter of becoming what our Creator intended for us all along, as we hear we hear in the music of Wilderness Cry.
