James Tissot
How blessed we are to have a seemingly endless assortment of resources to help us understand the Word of YHVH and put it into action. Truly this generation has far more advantages than any other generation in history. That should be a great encouragement, but also a reason to remember and heed this stern exhortation by Messiah Yeshua:
And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and sensible steward, whom his master will put in charge of his servants, to give them their rations at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But if that slave says in his heart, ‘My master will be a long time in coming,’ and begins to beat the slaves, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk; the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and assign him a place with the unbelievers. And that slave who knew his master’s will and did not get ready or act in accord with his will, will receive many lashes, but the one who did not know it, and committed deeds worthy of a flogging, will receive but few. From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.” (Luke 12:42-48 NASB, emphasis added)
All of the sites accessed through these links contain information and resources of value. That value derives from the fact that the people who have produced them are people of the Living God. Some are Christian, some are Jewish (both Messianic and non-Messianic), and some are Hebrew Roots (meaning non-Jewish Messianic). There are profound differences of beliefs, doctrines, and opinions among these ministries and organizations, and some are even adamantly opposed to others. That is a tragedy. Differences among God’s people are understandable and even desirable if they lead to open communication in love. Such communication results in more perfect comprehension of YHVH’s intent by motivating His people to delve more deeply into His Word, pray more fervently for His revelation, and humble themselves more completely in the realization that none of us has the full picture. In the interest of promoting such open, honest communication, I include this wide assortment of resources, even those with which I have significant disagreement. All of them have at some point blessed me, and I hope that they will be a blessing to you as well.
