Here’s what is coming up on The Remnant Road on Hebrew Nation Radio for Monday, August 22:
The Apostle Paul has some interesting words about the call to redemption that has gone out to the entire world. Placing that call in the context of the nation of Israel, he writes,
But I say, surely Israel did not know, did they? First Moses says, “I will make you jealous by that which is not a nation, by a nation without understanding will I anger you.” And Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those who did not seek Me, I became manifest to those who did not ask for Me.” (Romans 10:19-21, quoting Deuteronomy 32:21 and Isaiah 65:1).
What exactly does he mean? We can learn some of the answer by asking indigenous peoples around the world. Many of them have legends and prophecies about the Creator who wrote a book which they lost, but which they hope to regain one day. When they hear the good news of redemption through Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ), they respond with joy, knowing that the lost book is found.
Today many indigenous peoples are awakening to something more: their identity as Hebrews. Some are at least partially descended from the Tribes of Israel scattered into all nations, but even if not they are learning what many with Christian roots are learning: that God is serious when He says they are grafted into the olive tree of Israel which includes both Jewish (Judah) and non-Jewish (Joseph/Ephraim) branches.
We will talk about this phenomenon with Dr. Iglahliq Suuqiina, a disciple of Yeshua blessed not only with Inuit (Alaska Native) and Mi’Kmaq (Native American) ancestry, but also with lineage tracing to the English Pilgrim colonists who settled in Massachusetts. With his wife Qaumaniq, Suuqiina founded Indigenous Messengers International, a ministry dedicated to the reconciliation and restoration of all peoples with one another and with their Creator through the redemptive work of Messiah Yeshua.
