If we look hard enough and listen carefully enough, we will find an uncomfortable truth: suffering is all around us in the very places we do not want it to be.
Finding the suffering and helping to ease it is the calling of Lauralee, a modern-day Samaritan woman. For twenty years she has been a voice crying in the wilderness, telling the truth about those who are suffering the most, and who all too often receive the least notice. They are women and children, widows and orphans, abused and abandoned and sitting quietly, week after week, in churches and synagogues, hiding their pain.
Who are these hurting ones? How do we find them? How do we help them? Is there more to this than simply forgiving and forgetting?
As Lauralee says, “Forgive, yes, but, forget, sorry, I cannot do that. Move on, yes, I am moving on … at His leading … at His direction … at His beckoning.”
This will be a different kind of show. It will not be for the fainthearted, but those who are brave enough to come down this part of the Remnant Road will be much better for the journey.
The Remnant Road, with co-hosts Al McCarn and Daniel Holdings, is the Monday edition of the Hebrew Nation Morning Show. You can listen live at 11:00–1:00 EST, 8:00-10:00 PST at http://hebrewnationonline.com/, and on podcast at any time.
