Preview of Coming Attractions: “Eyes on the Altar”

Next week The Barking Fox will begin a short series on the Temple and the sacrificial system of worship, both according to what God instructed Israel millennia ago, and what will be taking place in the Messianic Millennium.  By happy coincidence, B’nai Shalom Congregation of Norman, OK, has just posted “Eyes on the Altar”, a teaching by Monte Judah on this subject.  This presentation explains the importance of altars and offerings, along with commentary on current events in Jerusalem.  The emphasis of the teaching is how close we are to the reestablishment of the Altar on the Temple Mount.  Those who are paying attention to prophetic events around the world will understand the significance of these developments, as we have learned from the Prophet Daniel:

He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and sealed up until the end time.  Many will be purged, purified and refined, but the wicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but those who have insight will understand.  From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.  How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!  But as for you, go your way to the end; then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age.”  (Daniel 12:9-13 NASB)

Another excellent commentary on this subject is available on Pete Rambo’s blog, Natsab.  In his post, “Say NOTHING!!”, Pete offers an exhortation to those who may not be sure what to think about our Jewish brethren reestablishing the Altar and the sacrificial worship system.  To access Pete’s post, please click here:
